Mendoza promotes investment in strategic tourist areas with tax benefits
The province will finance up to 50% of tourism, commercial, and environmental projects in high mountain areas and other key zones
The Government of Mendoza has launched a new call to boost investments in strategic areas of the province. The initiative, called the Pioneers Program, is part of the Investment Promotion Regime for High Mountain and other Mendoza terrains.
Its objective is to promote sustainable development, generate employment, and optimize natural resources, focusing on tourism, commercial, logistics, and environmental infrastructure.
Financing of up to 50% and tax benefits
The program allows financing of up to 50% of the total amount of each project, combining reimbursable and non-reimbursable contributions.
- Maximum amount per call: $500 million.
- Total cap per person or company: $750 million, adding all calls.

Investments may be allocated to new capital goods, construction, or improvements to existing infrastructure. In addition, approved projects will have access to:
- Fiscal stability for five years.
- Exemption from property tax on affected properties.
- Exemption from gross income tax for five years.
- Loans with reduced rates and up to one year grace period before repayment begins.
Municipal participation and local outreach
Prior to the opening of the call, informational meetings were held in Las Heras, Tupungato, Tunuyán, San Carlos, and Rivadavia, with the participation of tourism, public works, and economic development departments.
In each municipality, the program's conditions were presented and outreach was coordinated together with tourism chambers and local operators. In Uspallata, Las Heras, a specific meeting was held with tourism service providers.
Evaluation and application process
Each proposal will be evaluated according to a scoring grid, which will determine the level of benefits.
The project submission period opened on June 30, with all information available on the website of the Fund for Transformation and Growth (FTyC), where the terms and conditions can be consulted and documentation can be uploaded online.
Inquiries and advice will be available at the email address consultaspioneros@mendoza.gov.ar.
A commitment to sustainable development
With this call, Mendoza seeks not only to attract investments but also to strengthen its position as a quality tourist destination, diversify its economy, and ensure the protection of the natural environment in areas of high scenic value.
