With deep sorrow, Marcelo Polino used his social media to say goodbye to Antonio Gasalla. “I'm going to miss you, dear friend. Thank you for so much,” he wrote, joined by a broken heart emoji.
In the image he posted, they are seen together in one of their last public appearances. He also informed that those who want to say goodbye to Gasalla can do so at the Teatro Maipo, from 7 PM to 1 AM.

In August 2023, Marcelo Polino shared an image that reflected Gasalla's happiness upon receiving a Martín Fierro for his career. The comedian posed with his statuette, while Polino gave a thumbs-up as a sign of joy.

Susana Giménez received the award on his behalf
During the ceremony, Susana Giménez was in charge of receiving the award on behalf of Gasalla. Her speech, filled with emotion and memories, moved everyone present.
According to Polino on Socios del espectáculo, Antonio managed to recognize him and Susana when he saw a video of the award ceremony.

“His nephew showed him the moment when I handed the award to Susana, and he recognized us!” the journalist recounted emotionally.
Polino revealed that Gasalla was moved when he saw the images of the gala. “He was touched by everything he saw, with the audience applauding,” the host said.
