The farewell of Lionel Messi from the Argentine National Team is already generating enormous anticipation among fans, and not everyone will be able to be inside the Monumental. For those who do not manage to get one of the tickets for the match against Benin, the Argentine Football Association (AFA) is preparing an alternative very close to the River stadium: the Fan Fest "Thank you, Leo", which will take place at the Sports Field of the University City of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) next Tuesday, October 6 from 12 PM to midnight.
One of the central moments of the event will be the meeting of the Albiceleste, which can be followed on a giant screen specially installed at the venue. This way, those attending will be able to experience the captain's farewell alongside other fans in a space prepared to accompany the day.
Music will also play a prominent role. The band Kapanga will perform at 6:30 PM, while La T and La M will take the stage at 7:30 PM. Throughout the rest of the day, there will be DJs, artistic interventions, and various entertainment proposals, including the presence of the streamer Spreen, who will conduct a broadcast alongside the members of “Párense de Manos”, with guests and figures related to entertainment.
On the other hand, one of the main faces of the event will be Sergio Goycochea, who will be in charge of hosting and animating the pre-event. In addition to interacting with the audience, he will participate in the experience "Penalties with Goyco", one of the activities prepared for attendees.
