Messi wants to add a player from the Argentina National Team to Inter Miami
Las Garzas intend to sign a player from the Albiceleste to strengthen their midfield
In recent hours, Spanish media outlet El Chiringuito revealed that Rodrigo De Paul is on Inter Miami's radar, where he could once again share a team with his friend Lionel Messi. According to journalist Marcos Benito, the owner of the North American club, Jorge Mas, has already initiated formal contact with the player's camp in an attempt to finalize the signing.
The midfielder for Atlético de Madrid, who has also attracted interest from other clubs, has emerged as a priority for Javier Mascherano, who is looking to strengthen a midfield that features players like Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba. The MLS team's plan is to compete for the top spots again after an inconsistent start.
However, the negotiation will not be easy. According to journalist Marcos Durán, Atlético would only be willing to let him go for a sum close to 15 million euros. Furthermore, Cholo Simeone would be in favor of De Paul staying at least until the end of his contract, which expires in 2026.

The lack of reinforcements has already caused internal tension: at a press conference, Mascherano issued a stern warning to the club's management. "I've said it several times. I spoke with the club and gave my opinion on what the team needs. However, no reinforcements have been brought in," he stated in a critical tone.
For now, Rodrigo De Paul's future depends on the progress of negotiations and his own decision: whether to continue competing at the European elite level or make the move to the United States to once again share a locker room with Messi in a project that aims to relaunch itself.
