President Javier Milei celebrated this Saturday the military operation carried out by the United States in Venezuela that culminated in the capture and transfer out of the country of dictator Nicolás Maduro. The Argentine president expressed his support publicly through social media, in a brief but forceful message.
"Freedom advances. Long live freedom, damn it", Milei wrote on the social network X (formerly Twitter), aligning himself without nuances with the international action that put an end to the control of the Chavista regime over power in Caracas. The message was published after U.S. President Donald Trump officially confirmed Maduro's capture.

According to details provided by Trump on his Truth Social network, the United States successfully carried out a large-scale attack against Venezuela, after which Maduro was captured and transferred by plane out of the country along with his wife. The North American president also indicated that the operation was carried out in coordination with U.S. law enforcement agencies and that more details would be provided at a press conference from Mar-a-Lago.
The confirmation of the operation arrived after a dawn marked by strong explosions in Caracas. Around 02:00 local time, residents of the Venezuelan capital reported detonations, aircraft overflights, and an unprecedented military deployment at different strategic points in the city.
