The registration of brand-new vehicles in Argentina recorded a year-on-year growth of 16.9% during October, an increase of 7,509 units, reaching a total of 51,982, according to the report released by the Association of Automotive Dealers of the Argentine Republic (ACARA).
In the first ten months of the year, 552,484 vehicles were registered, which represents a 55.1% increase compared to the same period in 2023, when 356,230 units were recorded. This result consolidates the recovery of the automotive market thanks to the stability achieved by the Government of Javier Milei, greater stability in supply, and a reactivation of consumption in certain segments.

The president of ACARA, Sebastián Beato, highlighted the strength of the activity despite a sensitive political context and attributed part of the rebound to the reaction of consumers after the elections: “During this last week we've had a lot of activity in our dealerships; evidently, Sunday's result encouraged many clients to inquire and complete their transactions, which is why we see that October keeps the strong year-on-year growth that has accompanied us.”
Looking ahead to the end of the year, Beato was optimistic and stated that the “upward market momentum continues,” which would allow 2023 to close with a solid baseline to also project an encouraging start to 2024.
