Javier Milei's Government launched a mechanism so that any person can report municipal taxes throughout the country, in a new digital tool aimed at strengthening citizen oversight of local taxes.
The measure was implemented through the official website of the Cabinet Chief of Ministers and is part of the official strategy to make the tax burden imposed by municipalities more transparent.
The new system was integrated into the portal called Municipal Tax Transparency, a platform that had been launched in December of last year with the objective of publicly exposing the taxes applied in each district. The site makes it possible to view the current rates, their value, the sectors affected, and the differences between jurisdictions, highlighting the concrete impact of these levies on different economic activities.

The tool distinguishes, for example, between the road tax and the taxes applied to financial entities, in addition to detailing which companies or sectors are affected by these burdens. With the new addition, the portal adds the possibility for citizens themselves to report taxes that they consider abusive or irregular.
The Cabinet Chief, Manuel Adorni, announced the measure through a message posted on his official account on the social network X, where he explained the scope of this new function. According to what he indicated, the system will make it possible to access detailed information on each municipal tax and, at the same time, it will offer the possibility of reporting those cases that users consider excessive.
