The President led the national campaign launch of La Libertad Avanza at Sarmiento Park
President Javier Milei starred this Friday in Córdoba at an event that marked a new milestone in La Libertad Avanza's national campaign ahead of the October 26 elections. In a Parque Sarmiento packed with supporters, the president reaffirmed the direction of his administration, defended the achievements obtained despite the legislative blockade, and exposed the desperation of an opposition that, in his words, "is scared."
The event focused on the presentation of Gonzalo Roca's candidacy for national deputy under the slogan "La Libertad Avanza or Argentina falls behind". As is his style, Milei entered the event like a rock star: he descended the steps and moved through a crowd chanting "the caste is afraid" and singing anti-Kirchnerist songs.
He was accompanied on stage by central figures from his circle: his sister Karina Milei, presidential spokesperson Manuel Adorni, President of the Chamber of Deputies Martín Menem, Security Minister Patricia Bullrich, and Córdoba deputy Gabriel Bornoroni.
"It's always a huge joy to come to Córdoba," Milei stated at the beginning of his speech. He recalled his time at the Institute of Economics and Finance at the National University of Córdoba and emphasized that "Conan is from Córdoba," prompting applause and ovations. He also recalled that the province had given him "the electoral joy in 2023 that brought him to the Presidency of the Nation."

The President lashed out at the opposition and denounced the blocking maneuvers in Congress: "When in 2023 we chanted the caste is afraid, they asked what are they afraid of... of us beating them. Now they're also afraid. The State party hasn't stopped blocking us since February with the obstruction machine, because they're scared."
He also warned against media campaigns: "From Congress they don't stop undermining this Government's achievements, very much in spite of themselves. And as if that weren't enough, they resort to smear campaigns, slander, and defamation. But I'm sure that Argentines are intelligent and won't be swayed by a 'cheap gossiper.'"
In a more emotional tone, Milei asked his followers not to give up: "We can't resign ourselves, we can't allow ourselves to fail again. We are the force of hope. We're going to make Argentina great again. I ask you not to falter, keep fighting. Don't give up!"
One of the harshest moments was directed at Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, whom he described as "triple convicted with an ankle monitor". With irony, he stated: "Maybe when they make the gesture of three it's for the three cases she still faces: Los Sauces-Hotesur, the Memorandum with Iran, and the corruption notebooks. The biggest theft in the history of humanity."
During the event, attendees sang chants such as "Take the penguin out of the coffin, so he can see... that the kids have changed their minds and carry the flag brought by the Lion" and "Javier, dear, the people are with you."
The festive atmosphere was marred by an attack by violent hooded members of Polo Obrero who assaulted libertarian supporters, leaving an elderly woman bloodied on the ground. The incident was condemned by the crowd, who replied with even more fervor in their chants.
Popular support also spread to social media: the slogan of libertarian influencer Daniel "El Gordo Dan" Parisini#QueElEsfuerzoValgaLaPena became the number one trend in Argentina after the event, reflecting the harmony between the Government and the citizenry.
