President Javier Milei led the saber and medal award ceremony this Thursday for the 2025 graduating class at the National Military College, in an event with a strong institutional focus in which he vindicated the role of the Armed Forces, questioned their historic defunding and highlighted the unbreakable bond between Argentines and those who have the mission of defending the Homeland.
At the beginning of his speech, the head of state offered his condolences to the families of the soldiers who died in recent days. Milei emphasized that they served the Nation and all Argentines with vocation, and he stated that their sacrifice deserves the country's eternal gratitude. In that context, he affirmed that the State will support the families in this moment of deep grief.

During the ceremony, the President also thanked and greeted the new authorities of the Armed Forces, as well as the new Defense Minister, underscoring the importance of clear and professional leadership aimed at rebuilding long-postponed strategic capabilities.
"It is an honor to take part in this graduation ceremony," Milei stated as he addressed the new officers, whom he congratulated on the beginning of a new stage in their lives. In that regard, he stressed that military training is not limited to practice and the technical knowledge acquired, but also involves learning values and experiences that can't be found in books and that are essential for the exercise of command.
