At 46 years old, Ronaldinho Gaúcho is preparing for his return to professional football. The historic Brazilian footballer arrived this Thursday in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy to join Ravenna FC, an institution that competes in Serie C.

The arrival of the former Barcelona and PSG player is part of a commercial strategy of the Italian club, although the agreement also stipulates that the Brazilian can participate in at least one official match during his stay.

Ronaldinho had hinted in June at his intention to return to professional competition with the northern Italian team. Now, his arrival in Emilia-Romagna marks the beginning of a new stage after several years away from the activity.

The Brazilian arrived at Forlì airport, from where he traveled to participate in the various events organized by Ravenna to mark the beginning of the new season.

The institution publicly celebrated his incorporation through its social media. “Ronaldinho landed in Romagna,” published Ravenna Football Club on Instagram, accompanied by photographs of the Brazilian's arrival.

Additionally, the club shared an image of the former footballer wearing the jersey he will use during his return.
