President Javier Milei was invited to take part in the Hispanic Prosperity Gala, which will be held next February 10 in Mar-a-Lago, the exclusive complex located in Florida and owned by former U.S. President Donald Trump. If it takes place, it would be Milei's first official trip to the United States in 2026.

According to reports from Washington, the organizers of the event take the presence of the Argentine president for granted and are waiting for him to deliver a speech in which he will reaffirm his worldview, his economic program, and the strategic alliance that he keeps with Republican leadership in the United States. However, so far, the Casa Rosada hasn't formally confirmed the presidential participation.

The Hispanic Prosperity Gala brings together political, business, and financial leaders from the United States and Latin America, and it has established itself as a space with a strong ideological imprint, focused on the defense of the free market, private property, and Western values. In that context, Milei would be recognized for his economic perspective and his critical stance toward statism and interventionism.

If he travels to Miami, the President would also be scheduled to speak at the Council of the Americas, one of the most influential economic and political debate forums on the continent. At least 150 business leaders have already expressed interest in listening to him, especially after his presentation at the World Economic Forum in Davos, where he once again defended liberal ideology without concessions.

During that speech, Milei argued that Machiavelli had died as a paradigm of modern politics and questioned the false dilemma between efficiency and ethical values. Drawing on the theoretical developments of Spanish economist Jesús Huerta de Soto, he emphasized that true efficiency only arises from unrestricted respect for private property and the entrepreneurial function.

The President's international agenda wouldn't end there. In March, Milei is scheduled to travel to New York to take part in Argentina Week, a three-day event that will bring together key players in the U.S. financial system. The initiative is organized together with the Argentine Embassy in the U.S. and has the support of major banks and institutions, such as J.P. Morgan, Bank of America, and AmCham.

Argentine ambassador Alec Oxenford indicated that the objective will be to present Argentina as an "investable" country, with concrete opportunities for private capital in strategic sectors with high growth potential.

If the planned agenda is maintained, Milei would be accompanied by the Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei; the Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo; Foreign Minister Pablo Quirno; and the head of the Central Bank, Santiago Bausili.

The president's international tour would then be completed with a trip to Santiago de Chile to attend the inauguration of José Antonio Kast, in a new gesture of alignment with governments and leaders committed to a pro-market reform agenda.
