Amid a night of glamour and theater, Mirtha Legrand once again proved that she remains as relevant as ever. The lunch diva attended the performance of Pretty Woman, the musical comedy starring Florencia Peña, and not only captured everyone's attention, but also took the opportunity to dispel rumors about her possible retirement from television.

With her classic elegance and unmistakable smile, Mirtha was approached by the press as she left the theater and answered questions about her future on television without hesitation. The host's presence coincided with a strong rumor that circulated in recent days: the possibility that 2025 will be her last year on air with her iconic show.

The rumor was started by journalist Adrián Pallares on Intrusos (América), where he stated: "It can be said today and in time we'll confirm it: this is Mirtha Legrand's last year on television. She's preparing everything for it to be her grand farewell."

However, far from fueling speculation, Mirtha herself categorically denied the news. "I don't know where that information came from. I didn't say anything," the diva stated, without losing her direct and calm style. Once again, she made it clear that she has no immediate plans to step away from the media or from her historic show, which remains a classic of Argentine television.

Additionally, the host took the opportunity to praise the play she went to see. "I'm doing very well, it's a great show. Florencia is lovely," she commented regarding Pretty Woman, reaffirming her passion for the arts and her support for national theater.

Mirtha Legrand underwent successful surgery and is already recovering at home

At 97 years old, Mirtha Legrand continues to demonstrate that her strength is as great as her career in Argentine television. The iconic host underwent surgery last Tuesday, June 17, but fortunately, the operation was a success and she is already at home resting as required.

According to reports on the show A la Tarde (América TV), it was a scheduled and outpatient procedure, related to a problem in one of her hands that had been treated by her trusted doctor. "It was a little issue with her hand that she was able to solve," they detailed on the show, reassuring her followers. The diva spent four hours at the clinic and then returned home, where she continues her recovery.

Throughout the entire procedure, Mirtha was not alone. Her daughter, Marcela Tinayre, accompanied her every step of the way and was a great emotional support. "She was very well accompanied by Marcela, who made sure to comfort her and be by her side," they added on the show hosted by Karina Mazzocco.

Far from retiring completely from the media, Mirtha remains active and connected with her audience. In a recent interview with Infama, the host spoke about her health, her professional future, and what it means to her to continue hosting her classic lunches: "I'm in one of the best moments of my life. Professionally, personally, and emotionally," she assured.

However, she also confessed that the end of her career is already approaching. "I'm not going to keep working much longer. These are the last years, I'm already old," she expressed sincerely. Despite that, she emphasized how much she enjoys her work: "I like my job, I like my profession. It makes me happy."
