More headaches for River: Germán Pezzella will miss the rest of the season

River received very bad news after the 0-0 draw against Independiente in Avellaneda. Germán Pezzella suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee and will be ruled out for the rest of the season and most of the first half of next year.

Near the end of the first half, the center-back committed a foul on Walter Mazzantti, got caught up, and suffered a movement in his knee that left him lying on the field.
