The Argentine padel is mourning the death of the player BrayanTorres, the 27-year-old athlete from Puntano who died early Monday in a car accident that occurred in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, where he had been living since this year for professional reasons.
The accident occurred on the Peripheral Ring of the Honduran capital, when the vehicle in which he was traveling as a companionlost control at high speed and ended up hitting the back of a truck parked on the side of the road.
Unfortunately, Torres died soon after from serious injuries sustained in the impact. For her part, the person driving, a woman identified as Jisil Lissette Rishmawi Massead, was rescued by firefighters, assisted on
site and later transferred to a health center. This is what the car in which Brayan Torres was traveling looked like As reported by the National Highway and Transportation Directorate of Honduras (DNTV), the driver was driving while intoxicated.
In this context, and according to local media and the Puntano portal El Chorrillero, she will be charged
with homicide with possible intent.
Born in the town of Naschel, in San Luis, “Tato” had started his sporting career in soccer, defending the colors of the Naschel Unidos Sports Club. Over time, he changed his sport and dedicated himself fully to paddle tennis, managing to stand out on the international circuit. His main achievements include titles in Mexico and the leadership of the ranking in Panama. In 2025 he had settled in Honduras to continue his sports career.

The news generated a strong shock in his home province. The Municipality of Naschel suspended activities at the Municipal Sports Center as a sign of mourning, while different sports institutions dismissed him
on social networks.
For their part, the Naschel Unidos Sports Club recalled their time at the institution: "He knew how to wear and defend our colors with commitment, respect and a great passion for football.”
“During his time at the institution,he left an indelible mark not only because of his performance on the playing field, but also because of his human quality, being a supportive companion and a person very dear to all those who had the opportunity to share with him,” they added.
