A week after the scandal that shook the world of entertainment and sports, Natasha Rey decided to break her silence.
The Uruguayan vedette spoke exclusively with LAM (América TV) and explained why she made the controversial decision to publish an intimate video of Mauro Icardi, which led to a major media and legal conflict.

Rey stated that her connection with the footballer did not begin recently, but in 2021. "I used to post content on my social media and he would react to my stories. It was like a hot exchange. I'm not going to deny it, at that time I did it," she recounted.
According to her testimony, the situation was reactivated a few weeks ago, when Icardi sent her another private message that he later deleted, although she managed to take a screenshot.
Annoyed by what she interpreted as a gesture of contempt, the media personality returned to Montevideo and decided to respond with a provocative gesture: she uploaded a first video, as a hint, referring to the player's affair with China Suárez.
"If it was like that with her, it'll be the same with you," she wrote when publishing it.
That move, according to Rey, caused an immediate reaction from Icardi, who unblocked her and asked her not to share any more of their private conversations.
Although she initially agreed, the situation changed when the footballer, in an attempt to defend himself, exposed her publicly by showing a highly sexual photo that she herself had sent him some time ago.
"That was what really made me angry. I didn't want to get to this point, but when he exposed me, that's when I said: 'Well, if you show me, I'll show too,'" she explained.
It was then that she decided to publish the intimate video that triggered the wave of repercussions.
The vedette acknowledged that she is aware of the consequences she may face after her decision. "I take responsibility, but I believe they also have to take responsibility for what they did," she stated, referring both to Icardi and to the way her privacy was exposed.
She also wanted to dispel suspicions that Wanda Nara, the player's ex-wife, might have been involved in leaking the material. "No, Wanda didn't send me anything. I have no contact with her. I think everyone is obsessed with Wanda, and not just China," she clarified.
