The delivery of credentials is an essential step before the presidential oath. According to the Peruvian institutional calendar, Keiko Fujimori will officially assume office on July 28, during the ceremony to be held in the Congress of the Republic on the occasion of the anniversary of national independence. On that same day, she will receive the presidential sash and formally begin her five-year term.
With the official accreditation of the presidential ticket, the Peruvian electoral process enters its final stage. In the coming days, transition activities will continue between the outgoing government and the new authorities, while the elected Executive progresses in forming its ministerial cabinet and preparing for the start of the new administration on July 28.
