Netanyahu confirmed that Israel will take control of Gaza to liberate it from Hamas.

The prime minister assured that Gaza will be demilitarized and a peaceful civil administration will be established

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that the Israel Defense Forces will launch a full-scale offensive on the Gaza Strip to liberate it from the terrorist group Hamas and rescue the kidnapped hostages.

According to Netanyahu on his social media, the goal of the military operation is not to occupy the Gaza Strip, but to liberate it from Hamas's control and ensure long-term security for Israel and the region.

"We're not going to occupy Gaza; we're going to liberate Gaza from Hamas," Netanyahu stated, making it clear that the current offensive doesn't seek to annex the territory or impose permanent military control, but to eradicate the influence of the Islamic terrorist organization.

The leader explained that once the military objective is achieved, Gaza will be demilitarized to prevent further attacks against Israel. "Gaza will be demilitarized and a peaceful civil administration will be established, which will not be the Palestinian Authority, nor Hamas, nor any other terrorist organization," he emphasized.

This proposal marks a firm stance against the possibility of returning control of the enclave to the Palestinian Authority, while also rejecting the presence of any armed group in the area.

Netanyahu also stressed that this strategy is part of the efforts to achieve the release of Israeli and foreign hostages kidnapped by Hamas during the October 7 terrorist attack, which left hundreds dead and triggered the current military escalation. "This will help free our hostages and ensure that Gaza doesn't pose a threat to Israel in the future," he declared.

Yesterday, Israel's security cabinet approved Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's proposal for the military takeover of the Gaza Strip.

During the same session, the cabinet defined five principles for ending the war: the disarmament of Hamas; the return of all hostages, alive or deceased; the demilitarization of the Strip; the maintenance of security control by Israel; and the establishment of a civil government that is not under the control of either Hamas or the Palestinian Authority.
