Ángel de Brito, one of the leading figures in entertainment journalism in Argentina, surprised his audience by revealing a passion he had been quietly cultivating. Away from the microphones and cameras of LAM on América TV, the host kicked off the second half of 2026 with a project that excites him: venturing into the world of interior design and architecture.
Through his account on X, he invited his followers to support his new YouTube channel called Oki.Casas, where he shares the complete process of renovations and remodels. In the videos, he shows the before and after of an apartment, highlighting all the work that often goes unnoticed by the public.
The difficult part is showing the entire process, with the fatigue, doubts, and effort that lie behind each project, the journalist explained in one of the contents. For him, each project not only transforms the spaces but also ends up transforming the person carrying it out.
Combining passions
Brito revealed that from the beginning he saw potential to generate good content with this new activity. He wanted people to see him doing something different from what he usually shows on TV or on his social media. In this way, he managed to unite two great loves: communication and the creation of spaces.
The host shared that he planned each step carefully, documenting the entire process. The most complex part was the construction itself, but it was worth it. This venture represents a personal dream that had been on hold for a long time and that he finally managed to realize.
“It represents something different. Something I wanted to show, something I have loved my whole life, which is decoration, remodeling, transforming spaces,” he expressed during a tour of the homes he is working on. The growing public interest in this type of content is linked, according to him, to the possibility of making postponed dreams come true.
The challenge behind the cameras
Despite the stress involved in dealing with consortia, suppliers, and administrations, Brito finds in this field a way to disconnect from the daily rhythm of journalism. He finds it super fun and entertaining, something different that takes him away from his usual work.
He detailed that the production of each video involved frequent visits over six months before editing the final material. In this way, he manages to show the real complexity involved in each renovation, from the initial decisions to the final result.
The project had already been announced at the beginning of February this year as one of the new work challenges for 2026. Now, in the second half, it has fully materialized, and Brito made it clear that it is a path he will continue to explore consistently.
