The cycle of Kevin Zenón at Boca has come to an end. After several months marked by irregularity, coaching changes, and different attempts to find a way out, the midfielder was transferred to Atlas de México, which agreed with Xeneize on a deal of 6 million dollars.
The negotiations extended over several days and started with a loan proposal with an option to buy that Boca rejected. The management led by Juan Román Riquelme had established as a condition a definitive sale or a loan with an obligation to buy, a position that the Mexican institution ultimately accepted.
Atlas, managed by Hernán Crespo, insisted on the player and improved their offer after the first leg of the quarter-finals of the Sudamericana Cup against São Paulo. With the economic differences resolved, both parties finalized the transfer and the left-footer became the new reinforcement for the Guadalajara team.
