The Livestock Secretariat of the Ministry of Bioagroindustry of the province presented a new interactive digital map developed with the infrastructure and technical support provided by the Idecor platform. This official tool is published within the open platform Mapas Córdoba to offer concrete data on the amount of milk produced expressed in liters in each of the Córdoba departments. The cartographic resource allows for precise identification of the productive centers in the territory, measuring the contribution of each jurisdiction, and meticulously comparing the historical development achieved over the last 5 years of activity.
The cartography created for the period 2025 confirmed the productive leadership of the San Justo department, which recorded a volume of 1.221 billion liters of milk and contributed nearly 39% of the provincial total. In second place in the official indicator was the General San Martín department with a total of 617.6 million liters and a participation close to 20% within the scheme of the 12 departments surveyed. The third place went to the Unión area with a generation of 339.8 million liters and 11%, with the three areas together accounting for approximately 70% of the volume, or 7 out of every 10 total liters.
Behind the main positions, the department Río Cuarto reached the fourth position with 220.4 million liters, followed by the jurisdiction of Juárez Celman, which accounted for a total of 171.2 million liters. The provincial record continued with the contribution from the Río Segundo department with 141.1 million liters, Tercero Arriba with 139.4 million, and Río Primero, which reached 105.3 million liters produced in its territorial area. The productive list for the period was completed with Presidente Roque Sáenz Peña with 90.2 million, Marcos Juárez with 42.4 million, General Roca with 35.4 million, and the Santa María department, which closed the list with 441,548 liters.

In addition to showing the productive map, the system allows for the evaluation of year-on-year growth in the dairy sector, confirming that all analyzed departments increased their volumes in 2025 compared to the figures recorded in 2024. Overall, the production of the provincial total rose from 2.846 billion liters obtained during 2024 to a total of 3.124 billion in 2025, representing a direct year-on-year increase of 9.8%. Furthermore, the platform incorporated preliminary data for 2026 corresponding to the first two quadrimesters, accumulating up to August 796.2 million liters in San Justo, 415.1 million in General San Martín, and 233.7 million in Unión.
From the governmental area, it was emphasized that having geographic information is key to guiding logistics, infrastructure, technical assistance, and decisions related to strengthening the entire provincial dairy chain. The Secretary of Livestock of Córdoba, Marcelo Calle, stated: “the map is a useful tool for producers, industries, and public agencies, as it systematizes territorial information and contributes to data-driven planning.” This new cartographic representation can be complemented with the map of producers and milk cattle stock available on the website, allowing for a much more comprehensive perspective on the sector.
With the publication of this digital report, the provincial agency adds a total of 15 geolocated maps within the public platform Mapas Córdoba for free consultation by professionals and interested citizens. The digital catalog of the agency gathers detailed information on stocks of beef and milk cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, horses, and buffalo distributed across the different areas of the Córdoba territory. The geographic portal completes its offering with territorial records on poultry establishments, meat plants, feedlot premises, veterinary clinics, and rooms dedicated to honey extraction.
