"Cruz also loves the juices I make in the morning with spinach, cucumber, and green apple, ginger or celery," she commented. "He eats plant protein like this variety of vegetables or nuts, also lentils, which have a lot of iron and he likes them a lot," Nicole expressed.

Additionally, the model clarified that the child will maintain this diet until he himself shows interest in trying other types of foods that she doesn't offer: "He will continue like this until he decides or asks me for meat," she noted.

Nicole Neumann's statements did not go unnoticed on social media, where many users expressed mixed opinions about whether it is appropriate for a baby to follow a vegetarian diet from such a young age by his mother's decision.

In the program Lape Club Social, the topic was addressed with the participation of the nutritionist Micaela Olivares, who provided key information to understand the scope of this type of diet in young children.

"A plant-based diet, as we call the vegetarian or vegan style, can be carried out as long as it is properly supervised," the professional explained. "There are critical nutrients like vitamin B12, which comes from the animal kingdom. Since it can't be naturally obtained from vegetables, it is necessary to supplement it," the professional warned.

She also detailed that if the mother is breastfeeding, it is important for her to supplement adequately to be able to transmit those nutrients to the baby and for the baby to obtain adequate nutrition.
