James Gunn confirmed that the script for the sequel to Superman is in full development and that filming is being prepared to start soon.

The first film directed by Gunn became a true phenomenon. It achieved more than 588 million dollars in global revenue, with a budget of 225 million.

In a conversation with Collider, Gunn said that he has already finished the script treatment and is now working on the final dialogues.

The director explained that his treatments are not common: they have up to 60 pages with complete dialogues, almost like a finished script. "It'll be sooner rather than later," Gunn assured regarding the start of filming for this new installment.
