Oblivion Remastered is now available: 4K graphics, gameplay improvements, and all DLC
Although the community already expected the announcement due to previous leaks, the immediate release has been a pleasant surprise
Bethesda officially confirmed what was already an open secret:The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Remastered is now a reality and is available starting today on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Game Pass Ultimate.
This re-release of the iconic 2006 RPG comes with renewed graphics, improved gameplay, and all additional content included, marking a new stage for one of the most influential games in the history of the genre.
A remaster that keeps the essence of the classic
Far from being a complete remake, Oblivion Remastered respects the design, mechanics, and structure of the original game, but enhances its visual presentation thanks to Unreal Engine 5, with notable improvements in textures, lighting, weather, and performance.
"Here we are, 20 years later", said Todd Howard, executive producer at Bethesda. "We wanted to modernize the visual experience, but keep intact the spirit that fans remember so fondly."

Improved gameplay and new animations
Beyond the 4K resolution graphics and stable 60 FPS, the remaster includes key gameplay adjustments. According to the studio, the leveling system has been revamped, combat has been adjusted with new animations and reactions to hits, and a sprint system has been added, among other improvements.
"Oblivion Remastered retains the core of the game, but wraps it in an unbelievable new visual style," posted Xbox on its official blog.
All extra content included
A great piece of news for fans is that this new version of Oblivion includes all the expansions released at the time: Shivering Isles, Knights of the Nine, and other minor DLCs are present from day one.

"Explore Cyrodiil like never before and prevent the forces of Oblivion from conquering it," reads the game's description on Steam.
Improved audio, but no Spanish dubbing
Despite the technological leap in the sound department, the remaster doesn't feature Spanish dubbing, just like the original version. However, Bethesda assured that multiple lines of dialogue have been re-recorded with notable improvements in accents, intonations, and ambient effects.
Although the community already expected the announcement due to previous leaks, the immediate release has been a pleasant surprise. Bethesda aims to rekindle the flame of one of its most beloved titles, and it does so by betting on a more polished experience while staying true to its roots.
