Online toy sales increased by 30% for Children's Day.
The sector thanked President Javier Milei for a decree that precisely sets the date of the celebration
The toy industry sector in Argentina is preparing for Children's Day by showing a noticeable change in consumer habits and in the way of marketing, according to representatives from the Argentine Chamber of the Toy Industry (CAIJ).
In a conversation with Radio Mitre, the president of the institution, Matías Furió, described a scenario shaped by digitalization, which is transforming both the way consumers access products and the role played by traditional stores.
According to Furió, sales through online platforms have increased by 30%, a trend that gained momentum after the pandemic and reflects how the public is increasingly opting for virtual purchases, both within the country and abroad.

"Sales are showing great dynamism. Virtual stores, both nationally and internationally, have grown by thirty percent," the businessman specified.
The head of CAIJ explained to Radio Mitre that the business model is undergoing a "dynamic" transformation, which forces small businesses to seek strategies to avoid losing competitiveness against companies with more infrastructure and a strong digital presence.
As part of local actions to boost consumption, "The Night of Toy Stores" was recently held, an initiative that aimed to encourage in-person purchases at physical stores. According to data shared by the president of CAIJ, the event caused increases of between 20% and 30% in supermarkets and large chains, and growth of over 3% in traditional toy stores compared to the same period last year.

Javier Milei's decree
The leader linked part of this increase in sales and the greater visibility of the sector to the new provisions established in a decree by President Javier Milei, which precisely sets the date of the celebration. He thanked the national government for the measure and emphasized that the document helps to elevate children's rights.
"The truth is that this decree is very important because it gives children the priority they deserve in guaranteeing all their rights," he stated during the radio interview.
