Operation Lion's Strength is the largest attack in Israel's history against Iran
They destroyed the nuclear capability of the Islamic regime and eliminated all the country's top military commanders
In an unprecedented operation called Operation Lion's Force, Israel launched the largest attack in its history against the Iranian regime in the early hours of Friday.
The military offensive caused the total destruction of the Islamic regime's nuclear infrastructure and eliminated all the top military commanders of that country, in a blow greater than any previous ones.
During the early morning, dozens of Israeli F-35 and F-16 fighter jets flew over Iran to simultaneously attack the uranium enrichment complex in Natanz, ballistic missile factories, and strategic research centers, in the most forceful offensive against the Iranian atomic program.
The impact in Natanz was particularly devastating. Israeli sources confirmed that the nuclear enrichment capacity was completely eliminated, interrupting any immediate possibility of manufacturing atomic weapons.
Destruction of the Iranian military leadership
In addition to the nuclear targets, the attack was aimed at the top military command. Iranian state media, backed by military analysis, report the deaths of the main leaders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
Among those killed are Chief of Staff Mohammad Bagheri, its commander-in-chief Hossein Salami, nuclear scientists such as Fereydoon Abbasi and Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi, along with other high-ranking commanders.
According to Mossad and IDF sources, covert missions were also carried out to destroy part of the Iranian defensive infrastructure.
State of emergency and possible reprisals
Israel declared the highest level of alert, with sirens, closure of airspace, and warnings to the population to remain near air-raid shelters. In a press conference, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced: “A missile and drone attack is imminent; we must be prepared.”
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu publicly supported the action, emphasizing that it was a necessary operation to prevent a nuclear threat. In a recorded message, he reiterated that Israel is defending the “free world” from terrorism and barbarism exported from Iran, and he anticipated that this action will be remembered as a battle of light against darkness.
The impact of these attacks, focused on the near-total elimination of the Iranian military leadership, represents an unprecedented scale in the Israel-Iran conflict. Now, the world is closely watching Tehran's response, which, according to its leaders, is already in preparation and may manifest through missiles, drones, or terrorist attacks.
