Indignation grows in Ceuta after the release of images recorded on Trampolín beach, where a group of immigrants is seen handling and killing a baby dolphin that had washed ashore. The video, whose location and date were verified, shows several people moving the animal out of the water while taking photographs and recording the scene.

The episode generated a strong reaction because it involves a protected species and the circumstances in which the specimen was found. According to information published by local media, the group reportedly found the dolphin swimming near the shore and subsequently pulled it out of the water.

One of the circulated versions claims that one of the individuals struck the animal on the head with a stick. El Faro de Ceuta reported that the baby was hit and subsequently died.

The environmental organization DAUBMA filed a complaint with the Civil Guard to investigate the case and identify the possible culprits. The entity claims to have photographs, videos, and captures that could demonstrate direct aggression against the baby dolphin. Among the evidence provided are images that, according to the association, would show blood around one of the animal's eyes.

The case once again places Trampolín beach at the center of controversy. The area is currently linked to the migratory crisis affecting Ceuta, following the massive arrival of thousands of people to the city. The situation has already raised concerns among residents and authorities regarding housing conditions, safety, and pressure on public services.

Beyond the circumstances that the investigation will ultimately determine, the episode has opened a new debate about the lack of respect that illegal immigrants have for wildlife protection regulations and the need for authorities to act against any acts of animal cruelty.

The Civil Guard must now determine what really happened to the baby dolphin, whether it was found alive or dead, and if there was deliberate aggression. The investigation will establish responsibilities and separate verified facts from the accusations circulating on social media.
