There were tense moments in Carlos Paz due to the fire at a downtown shopping mall in the city in the province of Córdoba.

During the early hours of Monday, a fire broke out on the fourth floor of Shopping Wo, right in the center of Villa Carlos Paz. The fire started in the machine room and water pumps, according to official sources who participated in the operation. Fortunately, no victims or injuries were reported, but significant evacuation and control measures were implemented.

Five fire crews worked at the scene to contain the flames

The emergency was handled by five fire crews, along with DUAR officers and the Punilla Department. Thanks to their quick intervention, they managed to prevent the fire from spreading to other areas of the shopping center. Minutes later, they carried out ventilation and cooling tasks to control the temperature in affected areas.

About 50 people were evacuated as a precaution by the joint operation, with no incidents occurring. Authorities continue to guard the building while experts assess the structural damage. The causes of the incident are under investigation, which so far show no signs of intentionality, according to sources close to the case.
