Pablo Vicó, historic coach from the lower divisions, revealed that he works as an advisor at River.

After his brief experience at Agropecuario, Don Ramón will work guiding coaches in Millonarios' academies

After his extensive cycle at Brown de Adrogué and a brief stint at Agropecuario de Carlos Casares, Pablo Vicó found a new challenge in his career. The renowned coach from the lower divisions  was hired by River to serve as an advisor to the coaches who are starting their journey in the club's soccer schools.

In an interview with Súper Deportivo Radio, the 67-year-old coach explained what his new role entails: "I was called by River to advise the kids who are just starting out in River's schools. It could be in Adrogué, in Calzada, in Quilmes, in Florencio Varela... overseeing more than 800 kids and guiding the young coaches".

Vicó highlighted the treatment he received from the club: "The people at River gave me total respect. I couldn't believe I accepted the opportunity they offered me. I asked them not to coach the kids, and they told me they needed my advice for the coaches they have".

The former Brown coach described how his arrival was arranged: "I discussed it with Hermes Desio and his assistant, who told me it would be an honor for River to have me. Those in charge of the schools are happy with my presence".

His numbers as a coach

Vicó was in charge of Brown de Adrogué for 15 years, during which he managed 316 matches and achieved two promotions to Primera Nacional, one in 2013 and another in 2015. After his long tenure at the club he loves, he had a final job as coach at Agropecuario, where he managed 11 matches and recorded 4 wins, 2 draws, and 5 losses.
