The American entrepreneur and technology leader Peter Thiel expressed confidence that President Javier Milei will be reelected and will continue to lead the Argentine government.
Thiel made the statements during an interview on the podcast of Mathias Döpfner, CEO of the Axel Springer media group, after traveling to Germany to receive the award given by the company.

During the conversation, Thiel initially raised his doubts about the political future of the Argentine leader. “It is uncertain whether Milei will manage to turn around the situation in Argentina, whether he will be reelected in a year”, he stated.
However, immediately afterward, he expressed confidence that the president will renew his mandate. “I still think he will, because people understand, in a way, that this is something existential and there is no turning back”, he affirmed.
In this way, the entrepreneur linked Milei's continuity with the perception of Argentines regarding the depth of the transformation process the country is undergoing.
Thiel and his view on the Argentine direction
The statements come as Milei's government seeks to consolidate the economic reforms implemented since his arrival at the Casa Rosada and advance with his transformation program.
Thiel, one of the main investors in the technology sector and co-founder of PayPal, once again expressed his confidence in Milei's political continuity, whom he considers part of a broader change process.
