In a recent interview on the podcast Historias de Fútbol, Gerard Piqué shared a previously unknown story that he experienced with Neymar. According to his account, both players took advantage of a trip to Qatar, where they had to fulfill an advertising commitment with Qatar Airways, to organize a lightning getaway to Dubai.

"We had an event in Qatar and we went from Barcelona because 'Ney' and I had to do an activation with the sponsorship," Piqué began. Although the event was strictly professional and didn't offer leisure opportunities, the duo decided to improvise.

"Without anyone knowing, we took a private plane and went from Qatar to Dubai that same night, just to go out partying," he confessed. The plan included their closest circles: "We had a crazy night, 10 of Ney's friends and 10 of mine came."

The return was a race against the clock: "The next day at 10 a.m. we had to do the Qatar Airways event. We came back at 8:30 a.m. to go straight to the event," he recounted, laughing. Already without rest and visibly exhausted, they participated in the corporate activity "moving little paper airplanes in front of a camera," as he recalled.

Piqué didn't hide the fatigue or the physical impact of the wild night, but he also admitted that "he had a great time" and that "the night was unbelievable."

The revelation sparked diverse reactions on social media. Some criticized the lack of professionalism, but others highlighted Piqué's ability to perform at the elite level despite his social life. Beyond the opinions, the anecdote adds another page to the story of one of the most successful and unique generations in European football.
