A Buenos Aires Police officer shot down two criminals in Pablo Nogués, Malvinas Argentinas district, after they attempted to rob him, putting his life in danger. The officer was off duty, as he was working as a driver for a ride-sharing app.
The violent assailants had requested the service through a transportation app. At the start of the journey and upon reaching the corner of Maure and Patricias Mendocinas, they threatened the driver with weapons and demanded he hand over his belongings.
Faced with the situation, the lieutenant, who was off duty, drew his service weapon and shot at the strikers, killing one of them inside the vehicle. The deceased thief was a man between 45 and 60 years old. The second criminal received a gunshot wound to the left groin and was urgently taken to Pablo Nogués Trauma Hospital, where he died hours later.

SAME Province personnel, agents from the Malvinas Argentinas Municipal Police, and the Buenos Aires Police arrived at the scene, confirmed the first assailant's death, and initiated the corresponding proceedings.
