Early this morning, a heroic Buenos Aires City police officer shot and killed a dangerous criminal who threatened him with a firearm and tried to steal his service pistol.
According to various sources, the incident occurred around 6:37 a.m. in the La Boca neighborhood of Buenos Aires, at the intersection of Necochea and Olavarría, when the officer, who serves at Neighborhood Police Station 4D and was stationed at a residence in the area, was surprised by an armed suspect.
According to initial reports, the assailant intercepted him while he was standing and pointed a gun at him to force him to hand over his weapon. After a struggle, the officer fired several shots that struck the striker.

At this time, it has not been confirmed whether the dangerous criminal, who was reportedly a resident of the neighborhood, managed to fire his weapon at the officer. The suspect fell wounded and, a few minutes later, SAME personnel confirmed his death. Meanwhile, the heroic officer was unharmed.
According to sources, the case is now under the jurisdiction of National Criminal and Correctional Court No. 1, presided over by Judge Alejandra Alliaud, who ordered the Argentine Federal Police (PFA) to conduct the investigation.
In the images broadcast by Crónica channel, viewers could see how Buenos Aires City Police cordoned off the area to prevent residents from approaching.
Additionally, the outlet published the audio of the 911 call made after the confrontation. As heard in the recording, the assailant surprised the officer from behind and threatened him by saying: "You're going to die. Give me the firearm." Immediately afterward, the attack broke out.
