The ranking of rates in pesos moved again at the start of February and left a new leader. After several months at the top, Carrefour Banco lost first place among interest-bearing accounts and digital wallets.
The change was led by Fiwind, which started offering the highest nominal annual rate in the segment. The move reshapes the options for small retail savers.

Fiwind takes the lead in the rate ranking
Fiwind currently tops the list with a NAR of 32%, surpassing the 31% that Carrefour Banco pays. The rate has been in effect since December and positions it as the most aggressive alternative among wallets.
However, the maximum yield has a key limit. The 32% rate applies only up to a balance of $750,000.
Once that amount is exceeded, the surplus starts yielding 21% NAR. This makes Fiwind ideal for small and medium amounts, but less attractive for large balances.

Carrefour Banco drops to second place
With a NAR of 31%, Carrefour Banco ended up just one step below the leader. The difference is minimal but enough to lose first place.
Its main strength continues to be the absence of a cap on interest-bearing balances. The only limit is a maximum monthly income of $4,092,000.
