Sloclap's arcade soccer game has surpassed one million players and is already planning tournaments, clubs, and more
Rematch, the new arcade soccer video game from the creators of Sifu, had an explosive start. In just 24 hours, more than one million players tried it on different platforms.
The title is already available on PC, Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5, and is part of the Game Pass catalog. On Steam, it reached 92,841 concurrent players and keeps an average of over 76% positive reviews.

Sloclap aims to improve Rematch
The developer acknowledged that the lack of crossplay was a weak point at launch. For this reason, cross-platform play will be one of the first improvements they'll implement.
They're also working on fixing performance, stability, and bug issues reported by the community. The goal is to polish the experience as soon as possible to sustain the game's growth.
What new features are planned for the coming weeks?
Sloclap has already confirmed that among the next features to be developed will be:
- Tournament system
- Score rankings
- Club creation and social improvements
- Training with bots
- New game modes

In addition, they promise to maintain constant and transparent communication with their community, listening to feedback and adjusting the game's direction accordingly.
Why did Rematch generate so much interest?
The game offers a fast-paced, accessible arcade experience with simple yet dynamic controls. It avoids realism and focuses on providing entertaining matches, both solo and multiplayer.
The support of Game Pass and Sloclap's reputation as an established indie studio also contributed to its initial momentum.
