'Resident Evil Requiem': Capcom showcases its graphical prowess ahead of Gamescom
Capcom previews the graphical quality of Resident Evil Requiem and its optimization for PC ahead of the release
Capcom is preparing Resident Evil fans for a new horror experience. Before its premiere at Opening Night Live, the company offered a technical preview that promises a visually stunning game.
The demonstration, presented alongside Nvidia, did not focus on the story or gameplay, but rather on graphical quality. The optimization of the RE Engine for PCs with different specifications and the incorporation of advanced technologies such as DLSS4 and path tracing stand out.

Technical demonstration details
The video showed Grace Ashcroft exploring the first playable area, with realistic lighting and reflections. According to Masaru Ijuin, engine director at Capcom, "Light and darkness are key to immersion in Resident Evil."
The team worked so that both high-end PCs and more modest systems can enjoy the experience without compromising visual quality. The integration of DLSS4 with ray reconstruction promises to improve smoothness and realism.
Optimization for open exploration
Resident Evil Requiem will include open areas in Raccoon City, something new for the series. Capcom assures that the technology is ready to handle broader and more detailed explorations.
