This time, not because of political decisions or institutional statements, but because of a sentimental letter dedicated to his pet Dylan, the border collie who accompanied him during his failed administration.
Through his social media accounts, Fernández published a text full of drama in which he recounted the death of his dog and bid him farewell as if he were a national hero.

"Although maybe I never told you, I always hoped you would arrive. You were part of my life, giving me loyalty, joy, and tenderness", wrote the former president, accompanying the post with two photos of the animal.
The message quickly caused criticism and mockery among users, who reminded him that, during his government, the country recorded record levels of inflation, poverty, and corruption, while his dog had an official social media account and appeared at protocol events.
"He couldn't govern a country, but he writes letters to his dog as if he were Churchill," one user mocked. "While Argentines suffered through the endless lockdown, he walked Dylan around Olivos," commented another. "Senile old man," another person stated.
Las redes sociales no perdonaron a Alberto Fernández
During his time at Casa Rosada, Dylan became a sort of official mascot of Kirchnerism. Not only did he accompany Fernández at events and ceremonies, but he also had a presence on social media, in official photos, and even in interviews with media outlets close to the government.
The former president used to introduce him as "my loyal companion," and on several occasions, he used him to show an emotional or human side to public opinion. However, for many Argentines, the dog ended up symbolizing the president's absolute disconnection from the country's real problems.
Even during the pandemic, when millions of Argentines faced restrictions, business closures, and job losses, Fernández posted photos with Dylan in the gardens of Olivos, generating outrage on social media.
Later, it became known that in those same halls, everyone from celebrities to officials who received coronavirus vaccines before anyone else walked, sparking the well-known case titled: "VIP Vaccination."
