2XKO, the long-awaited free fighting game from Riot Games set in the League of Legends universe, is reportedly just days away from its official launch. A slip-up by the company exposed the release date.
The title will leave early access behind and will arrive simultaneously on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series, marking a key step in Riot's expansion beyond the MOBA.

The leak that moved the announcement forward
The information emerged after the accidental publication of an official trailer, which was deleted after a few minutes. That video indicated that 2XKO will launch on January 20.
Although Riot hasn't confirmed the date officially yet, everything suggests that the announcement will be made shortly. The game has been available in early access for PC since October.
A fighting game with League of Legends DNA
2XKO is one of Riot's most ambitious projects to expand the LoL franchise into other genres. In this case, it fully commits to competitive combat.
