Boca's victory over Riestra at La Bombonera was wrapped in a strong controversy unrelated to football. During the entrance to the stadium, several fans noticed that some turnstiles were unlocked, which allowed access without validating membership cards or registering attendance, a key element within the club's filtering system.
The complaint gained greater relevance due to journalist Antonio Serpa, a member of the show "Decime qué se siente" on the streaming channel LOVE/ST. There he was blunt: "There we show how they scam the members every weekend."
According to his explanation, it was not an isolated incident and the control system simply did not work. "There are unlocked turnstiles. They are dummy turnstiles that spin all the time, there is no need to tap anything. At every gate there were unlocked turnstiles," he reported, highlighting the seriousness of the failure.
Serpa detailed the confusion that was caused at the entrances. "They said that people had to go through the side because otherwise the system was not going to record their attendance, and if the system doesn't record your attendance you fall out of the filter," he pointed out. That point is key, since the attendance record defines which members are authorized to enter future matches.
It should be clarified that he was not the only one who exposed the controversy. Matías Castillo, a member of the YouTube channel Los Displicentes, as well as a Boca fan and member, confirmed the unlocking of turnstiles minutes before the start of the match against Malevo.
