The former forward criticized the Xeneize president for his speech, leadership decisions, and egocentrism when he recalled the club's historic achievements

Juan Román Riquelme is undoubtedly one of the worst presidents in the history of Boca, and as his administration goes on, more and more criticism arises against him. Although his status as an idol postponed questioning during the first years, the lack of sporting achievements and some controversial decisions caused growing unrest within the Xeneize world.
In that regard, Pablo Mouche, a former blue-and-gold player, targeted the current boss directly and questioned his way of communicating and managing. ""I'm tired of hearing from Román in every interview that the only thing he does is blame the opposition, he is always outraged by what the other person did"," he fired on the PBJ stream.
"He always goes after the media or the people, you can't keep going after the media, you have to let go and take care of the management of your club, which has quite a lot that needs to be improved," he added.
Mouche was also critical of the way in which Riquelme usually refers to the titles won in the past, especially the Intercontinental final against Real Madrid. ""Another thing that bothers me a lot is the ´I beat them´. I want to point out to Mr. Riquelme that in that final against Real Madrid there was a gentleman named Martín Palermo, another one named Hugo Benjamín Ibarra, there was a gentleman named Sebastián Battaglia, Chelo Delgado, Guillermo… there were players who are idols in Boca's history. Enough with the ´I beat them´, no, man, you didn't beat them, the team beat them. On the substitutes' bench was Carlos Bianchi"," he stated.
Mouche criticó el egocentrismo de Riquelme
Along those lines, he deepened his criticism by considering that this discourse doesn't do the club or the fans any good. ""He is going to remain the same, he is going to keep saying the same thing over and over. It doesn't do Boca's people, the fans, or the players any good. Enough with the ´I´, there Román shows that his management at Boca is about ´I´"," he concluded.
Mouche's statements add to a series of criticisms that are beginning to create an increasingly tense atmosphere around Riquelme's figure and his leadership at the head of the club.
