The host of Intrusos escalated the war against Matías Bertolotti and vented on his show. The video
The host of Intrusos (América), Rodrigo Lussich, replied unfiltered to Matías Bertolotti after the meteorologist's criticism. In his statement, he harshly questioned weather professionals and accused them of commercializing their work on television.
A confrontation marked by irony
It all started after the failed weather alerts in the AMBA region. A storm had been announced that never arrived, which prompted Lussich to mock the meteorologists in his segment Escandalones on Monday, March 3. This caused Bertolotti's annoyance, who spoke out against the criticism received.
In response, this Monday, the host of Intrusos with a sharp tone: "If Bertolotti felt offended, he's within his rights, but I make jokes on my networks and I can make mistakes. I have no problem apologizing, but I'm going to keep doing it", he said.

However, he quickly moved to a more aggressive critique, questioning the role of meteorologists on television and their reaction to forecast errors.
"I understand that it's a complicated profession, that exact science isn't specifically meteorology, there can be variables... I understand everything. Of course, everything I said was a joke", the host acknowledged and continued: "I'm sorry if I have to clarify it and that they're so short-sighted."
Criticism and cross accusations
Lussich rejected the insinuation that his attitude could be linked to the climate tragedy in Bahía Blanca. "Linking me to that is a low blow and I won't allow it", he stated. Additionally, he criticized the way meteorologists manage their public image: "They've made a business on television, they enjoy being stars, but when they make mistakes and get insulted, they must take responsibility."
The host also highlighted the economic impact of erroneous alerts. "On Friday in Buenos Aires, people without money to make it to the end of the month paid 15 or 20 thousand pesos to park their car in a garage because they said the Bahía Blanca storm was coming, and in the end, it was just normal rain", he emphasized.
Lussich also confronted Diego Angeli, who allegedly threatened him on Twitter. "I won't allow those low blows", he asserted. And he closed with one last critique: "If I offended them, I apologize. But I didn't see them defend their colleagues fired from the National Meteorological Service with the same passion. We know each other well," he concluded.
