Rosario Central has confirmed a new expansion of the Gigante de Arroyito stadium, a project conceived more than ten years ago that will now begin to materialize thanks to a solid institutional present and growing popular support fueled by the return of Ángel Di María.
The announcement was made through an emotional video published on the official social media accounts, released one month after the passing of Miguel Ángel Russo, the club's historic coach. With the phrase "The after is forever, you remain in history," the tribute gave way to the presentation of the new project, which includes the construction of an upper stand in the section of seats facing away from the Paraná River and a redesign of the external facade, intended to improve access and spectator circulation.
The presentation video concluded with the participation of the late Roberto Fontanarrosa, an eternal symbol of Canalla sentiment, and a message that stirred the fans' emotions: "Canalla family, we're continuing to expand our home. We're going to expand the Gigante: the third tier becomes a reality."
