More than a year after the murder of Bruno Bussanich, the 25-year-old gas station attendant executed at his workplace, the Santa Fe Police managed to arrest the second suspect linked to the crime, amid a context of growing violence that keeps Rosario in a state of emotional siege.
The arrest occurred during a saturation operation carried out in the early hours of Tuesday at the intersection of Patagones and Quintana. According to official sources, the detainee was identified as Alejandro Victoriano Cantero, 45 years old, who had an active arrest warrant since April 14. Along with him, a young man 22 years old, his neighbor, was apprehended. Both were taken to Police Station 32, where they were placed at the disposal of the Justice.
During the procedure, the agents observed the two men in a suspicious attitude. When attempting to identify them, one of them fled, discarding a cell phone during his escape. After a brief chase, the officers managed to detain both individuals. Neither was carrying weapons at the time of being searched.

The arrest warrant against Cantero was directly related to the murder of Bussanich, which occurred on March 10, 2024, at a Puma service station located at Mendoza and Rojas. According to the investigation, Cantero was allegedly the one who transported the hitman who shot the young worker.
