A photo posted on social media sparked the scandal. In the image, Lourdes Sánchez appeared alongside Spanish businessman Ramón Vegas at an event that seemed like a celebration. The image, shared by a friend of Chato Prada, showed Vegas in a close attitude with the dancer.
Journalist Fernanda Iglesias claimed that Sánchez had been unfaithful to Prada and that she had even married this man in Mexico. The news shook social media and entertainment portals.
However, Lourdes denied everything from the start. She stated that the rumors directly affected her son and lamented the spread of a story that, according to her, had no basis. Chato Prada also came out to support his partner's version.

Amid the controversy, Ramón Vegas's own words became known. In LAM (América) an audio was broadcast that the businessman sent to Kennys Palacios, Wanda Nara's stylist and mutual friend. There, Vegas clarified his relationship with Sánchez.
"There is nothing between Lourdes Sánchez and me," he said firmly. He assured that they knew each other, got along well, and had attended parties on several occasions, but only in a work and social context. "We have a good friendship and cordial relationship," he insisted.
