Boca's squad returned to training this Thursday in Ezeiza, although Miguel Ángel Russo was absent once again. The head coach had been hospitalized on Wednesday for medical checkups and was also not present at the football practice held at La Bombonera. The questions now are: when will he be discharged and whether he will be able to coach on Saturday in Florencio Varela against Defensa y Justicia.
In this context, the club assures that this is a day-to-day follow-up and remains available to Russo and his family, supporting the process without rushing his recovery.
Earlier this week, the 69-year-old coach had already been hospitalized for dehydration, was discharged, posed for photos with Juan Román Riquelme, and was able to lead a practice. However, on Wednesday he had to return to the Fleni clinic for tests and a new hospitalization.
