Sagat arrives in Street Fighter 6 with new abilities, stage, and skins
Capcom has revealed the official trailer for the highly anticipated return of Sagat, one of the most iconic characters in Street Fighter
Street Fighter 6 is preparing to welcome Sagat, the iconic Thai fighter, to the ring on August 5, returning with a set of renewed skills and improvements to his classic attacks. This addition is part of the third season pass for the game and represents an evolution of the character in both style and strategy.
The announcement was accompanied by a new official trailer, showcasing the character's updated arsenal, his new techniques, and a detailed look at the Proud Spire stage, inspired by a Thai temple.
New skills: versatility and aggressiveness in combat
Among the new features Sagat brings, the Tiger Nexus stands out, a special technique that is divided into three strategic variants: Mighty Tiger, Greedy Tiger, and Nova Tiger. These additions expand the character's offensive capabilities, providing versatile options for different playstyles.
Additionally, his classic moves—Tiger Shot, Tiger Uppercut, and Tiger Knee—have been improved in speed, range, and damage, challenging the expectations even of veteran players who knew him in previous titles.

Stage and costumes: cultural immersion and tribute to his legacy
Alongside the character, Street Fighter 6 will also add a new stage: Proud Spire, which pays tribute to Thai culture with architectural details, ceremonial flags, and a Buddha statue in the background. The environment aims to evoke visual serenity while intense battles unfold.
Regarding cosmetics, Sagat arrives with two outfits. One modern, with a somber and refined aesthetic, and another retro, which pays tribute to his iconic Street Fighter II appearance, combining nostalgia and current graphics.

Exclusive preview at EVO 2025
Capcom will allow players to try Sagat before his official release during the EVO 2025 tournament, which will be held in Las Vegas from August 1 to 3. There, fans will be able to see the character in action in live matches and experience firsthand the redesign of his gameplay.
This return is celebrated by the community as a sign of Capcom's commitment to renewing its classic characters without losing the essence that made them popular, adapting them to the current demands of the competitive scene and expanding the experience for new players.
