Samsung Galaxy phones are changing forever: the redesign of the S26 Edge has been leaked
Galaxy S26 Edge arrives with a giant camera, more battery, and Qi2 charging
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge promises to be one of the most striking phones of 2025. A leak showed images caused from CAD files, revealing a redesign that marks a turning point in the Galaxy series.
According to Android Headlines and OnLeaks, the model will bring changes that break with the aesthetic line of recent years, with a clear commitment to innovation in design and features.

A redesign that surprises
The leak confirms that the Galaxy S26 Edge will have a huge camera island on the back. This area will occupy a third of the device, moving completely away from the minimalist style that has characterized Samsung in its latest releases.
The goal of this decision is to optimize the internal space to incorporate higher quality sensors and other components. This change, although controversial, marks a key evolution in the line-up.
Comparison with iPhone 17
The design is reminiscent of what has been leaked about the iPhone 17 Pro, which will also include a camera island. However, specialists point out that this is not a copy, but rather a similar response to the same technical challenges.

In this context, Samsung seeks to strengthen its identity with a model that combines thinness, power and improvements in battery life.
More screen and improved battery
The Galaxy S26 Edge will have a 6.7-inch screen and a minimum thickness of just 5.5 mm (0.22 inches), surpassing the Galaxy S25 Edge. In the camera area, however, the thickness will increase to 10.8 mm (0.43 inches).

Another strong point will be the battery, which will increase to 4,200 mAh, compared to 3,900 mAh in the previous model. This change addresses one of the most frequently repeated criticisms from users.
Qi2 and MagSafe compatibility
The new Galaxy will feature Qi2 magnetic wireless charging, compatible with MagSafe, Pixelsnap and other products available on the market.
This positions it as a much more versatile phone for those looking to make the most of wireless connectivity.

A key step for Samsung
The Galaxy S26 Edge will replace the "Plus" model, establishing itself as a benchmark in the company's new line-up. With its innovative design, more powerful battery and expanded compatibility, it is emerging as one of the major bets for 2025.
