Five schools at the National University of Córdoba issued a shameful statement rejecting the arrest of narco-dictator Nicolás Maduro. The academic institutions described the operation carried out by the United States as "a kidnapping" and a serious violation of rights.

The document bears the official signatures of the authorities of Arts, Chemical Sciences, Social Sciences, Philosophy and Humanities, and also Famaf. This institutional stance occurs despite the serious accusations of drug trafficking and terrorism that weigh on all of the current Chavismo.
The Argentine University Federation also joined this ideological line by condemning the capture of the dictator without mentioning criminal charges. Student groups, such as Liberal Student Force, questioned the use of the students' official representation to defend a regime riddled with crimes.

Complicity with State terrorism

The Argentine University Federation stains the legacy of the 1918 Reform by becoming the official mouthpiece of a bloody tyranny. The student leadership prefers to attack the United States rather than condemn the systematic plundering by the great narco-state. It is abhorrent that they deliberately ignore the massive electoral fraud of 2024 and the persecution of opposition leaders who are currently kidnapped.
The military operation over Caracas was not an attack on sovereignty but a necessary act of justice against a criminal wanted internationally. The anti-imperialist narrative is only a cheap excuse to cover up the political partnership between local populism and regional organized crime. Those who today tear their garments over the capture of the dictator are moral accomplices of the hunger and misery that have plagued Venezuela for two decades.
