A tragedy that shocked the residents and municipal workers of the town of Tolosa
Last Wednesday morning, the town of Tolosa was the scene of a tragedy that shocked residents and municipal workers. Noelia Sosa, a street sweeper from the Municipality of La Plata, lost her life after being struck by a garbage truck that was maneuvering in reverse in the middle of the street and in broad daylight.
The tragic accident occurred on 117th Street, between 520 and 521, when a Mercedes Benz truck (license plate AD716OY), operating as part of the waste collection service, ran over the worker while she was on her work shift. The causes of the accident are still under investigation.

Police sources reported that the La Plata Patrol Command arrived at the scene following a 911 call. Upon arrival, officers found the woman lying on the road, with no vital signs. SAME personnel immediately confirmed her death.
The truck driver, identified as Jorge Aníbal Kap, 58 years old, was charged with the crime of manslaughter. The case is in the hands of the Functional Instruction Unit No. 12 of the Judicial Department of La Plata, with the intervention of the Guarantees Court No. 4 and the Defense No. 6.
The authorities decided to preserve the scene to carry out the corresponding investigations, while also involving the judicial morgue for the transfer of the body.
Her death not only left deep sadness among her loved ones but also caused outrage among her coworkers and neighbors, who gathered at the scene demanding a thorough investigation of what happened. "She was a hardworking, committed woman, always willing. It can't be that a life is lost like this, in this way", commented a coworker of the victim.
