Sofía Monachelli pointed at Julia Mengolini over the Nacho Levy case: 'It made my stomach turn'

Sofía Monachelli questioned the statements made by Julia Mengolini regarding the complaint against Nacho Levy. The journalist stated that the comments made by the Futurock host caused her discomfort and explained why she decided to respond publicly.

In an interview with Puro Show (eltrece), Monachelli referred again to the complaint of psychological violence she filed against Levy and criticized the stance that Mengolini expressed when addressing the issue on her program.

Monachelli recalled that she had never spoken publicly about the relationship she had with Nacho Levy and explained that she did not intend to expose the matter in the media or on social networks.

"What Julia Mengolini said made my stomach turn a bit when I heard it. I never went out to tell anything, my intention was never to do something media-related, nor to make it go viral," she stated.

The journalist also expressed that she was bothered to hear another woman's opinion on the case. "This 'sister, I believe you,' but now we have to wait. I waited 20 years and said that I had this well thought out, and the other day I couldn't speak," she expressed.

What Julia Mengolini had said about the complaint against Nacho Levy

On her Futurock program, Julia Mengolini described the case as a "sensitive issue" and explained that she preferred to wait before making a public analysis.

"On one hand, because it involves Nacho Levy. He is a guy we felt somewhat close to. And on the other hand, because the theme is one that this radio station is very much involved with," she stated.

Additionally, she noted that she did not want to comment due to the pressure from social media and listeners. "We are waiting a bit so as not to be the incontinence of streaming. That incontinence of feeling like we have to say something, so let's say it now. We need to think it through," she maintained.

Monachelli's response to Malena Pichot

During the interview, Monachelli also responded to Malena Pichot, who had said that she did not understand why the journalist had questioned Mengolini.

"I think what Malena Pichot said is ridiculous; I think it's inappropriate, it's zero empathetic. We are women who convey a lot of things, and we should have empathy with men, with women, with stories," she asserted.

Moreover, she explained that she decided to share her experience on Crónica TV, where she works, because she did not want to do it on social media or seek publicity.

"If I don't do it in my space, I didn't want to do it on social media because I had no intention of making something go viral for personal gain," she assured.
