After months of competition, Big Brother: Golden Generation has come to an end. Solange Abraham became the winner of the edition after defeating Yisela “Yipio” Pintos in a close final showdown, which immediately sparked reactions among the show's followers.
During the gala broadcast this Wednesday, September 16, on Telefe, Santiago del Moro announced that Sol received 51.8% of the votes, out of a reported total of 30 million in the final. Thus, the contestant finally achieved the goal for which she had decided to return to the reality show 15 years after her first experience.
However, her crowning was far from ending the discussions surrounding her time in the house. As soon as the result was known, social media was flooded with messages from users questioning her victory and resurfacing some of the controversies she was involved in during the season. Among the criticisms were accusations of supposed “favoritism.”
Why did Sol's victory generate criticism on social media?
One of the points for which Sol is accused of favoritism is that she did not stay in the house from the beginning. Instead, she returned through the Golden Ticket and then throughout the program had different opportunities that seemed to have been a benefit.
